Helena Chacón was introduced to yoga as a child and has been a devoted practitioner since 1999. She has been a teacher since 2006 and, together with her husband Javier Muriel, runs the Yoga Kula® School, registered with the Yoga Alliance as RYS200 and RYS300 (RYS500). Her practice and teaching are influenced by dynamic and powerful styles in which she has trained or attended intensive courses (Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Rocket, AcroYoga, etc.), as well as more gentle styles such as Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She has trained in Hatha Vinyasa Yoga (E-RYT500), Rocket, AcroVinyasa, Yin Yoga (Paul Grilley’s functional approach), Yoga Nidra and OSHO Active Meditations.
Alongside her work in yoga, Helena attended weekly Buddhist meditation sessions, has taken part in Tai Chi and Qigong classes and intensive courses, and has trained in a wide range of natural and holistic therapies, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, crystal therapy, aromatherapy, herbalism, indigenous plants, Bach flower remedies, Reiki, chiromassage, Thai massage, Ayurvedic massage, kinesiology, Feng Shui, etc.
She is the co-creator of the programme Holistic Yoga® and the specific methodologies of Myofascial Yoga®, AyurYoga®, TCMYoga® and AromaYoga®
Helena holds the official Yoga Instructor Professional Qualification in Spain, as well as the Teaching Aptitude Course (CAP).
