THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL COURSE: Balance Your Circadian Rhythm
Balance Your Circadian Rhythm: Habits – Yin Yoga – Acupressure
Overview
BALANCE YOUR CIRCADIAN RHYTHM
Habits * Yin Yoga * Acupressure
Life is based on cycles (seasonal, solar, lunar). Adapting to and flowing with these cycles is essential for maintaining and restoring health. In this course, you will learn about the energetics of the solar cycle from the perspective of Chinese Medicine. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) observed that the energy which nourishes our organs first circulates through a network of Main Meridians. These channels are interconnected, forming a “closed” circuit through which Qi (what yogis call Prana) circulates. When there is a blockage or excess of energy in any part of this circuit, we begin to experience imbalances. As the 24 hours of the day pass, the energy circulates predominantly through one meridian every two hours, signalling our needs at that moment.
YOU WILL LEARN:
-
THE CIRCADIAN CYCLE ACCORDING TO TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
You will learn how Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches the daily solar cycle, how it can help us, and what the Theory of Meridians involves.
-
ADJUSTING TO THE TIME ZONE (in Spain and any other country)
You will learn how to convert the Solar Hours of the TCM Meridian Cycle to the local times in your country.
-
TOOLS
You’ll learn how to manage the energy in your meridians using Yin Yoga and acupressure: 12 Yin Yoga poses (one for each of the main meridians), how to practise them and adapt the poses to your body, as well as 12 acupoints, their locations and how to apply acupressure to them
-
ENERGY LEVELS FOR EACH 2-HOUR CYCLE
You’ll know which organ is at its peak and which is lacking, so you can carry out the most and least productive activities every two hours.
-
APPLICATIONS
You’ll learn how to regulate your energy levels throughout your circadian cycle when there are factors that throw it out of balance, such as jet lag, common symptoms, changes of season, etc.
-
